Twitchett & Tonge has unveiled its Autumn/Winter ‘08 collection – ‘Monarch’ – a graphic and sensuous interpretation of medieval women’s wear.

Soft multi twist merino yarns come embellished with ornate embroidery and Celtic intarsia patterns.

Designs include lantern sleeve and collared dresses, long line cable vests, cosy shawl collared cardigans and bell sleeve sweaters. Chunky roll neck jackets are also offered as a winter ‘08 staple.

Set to enhance the impact of the range is a colour palette featuring rich primary colours including ruby red, midnight blue and noble blue. Black, stone and burnt orange complement the palette for a more somber mood.

The notion of knitwear only being used for warmth has been challenged in the ‘Monarch’ collection. The objective of this range was to fuse quality yarn with fashion forward styling. Our customers want to feel feminine and sexy and that is what we are hoping to achieve.
